Ontario accessibility requirements have different thresholds

Ontario businesses and nonprofits with 20 or more employees must file an accessibility compliance report by December 31, 2026. Public website accessibility requirements apply to designated public-sector organizations and businesses or nonprofits with 50 or more employees. Organizations should confirm which requirements apply to their situation.

What the five-page review covers

The founding review covers five agreed public URLs or representative page templates. Common checks include document structure, keyboard access, visible focus, labels and names, contrast, link purpose, alternative text, forms, and selected screen-reader behavior. Third-party widgets are documented separately.
